Like millions of people around the country and around the world, we are deeply upset by the acts of injustice against black Americans including George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmad Arbery, and countless other POC.
Systemic racism has been a deeply rooted issue in America for centuries and it’s completely unacceptable. This was never okay. It wasn’t acceptable a hundred years ago and it’s definitely not acceptable in 2020. Change is way overdue. It’s time to take action to make meaningful, lasting changes that will level the playing field and bring equality to all races.
We, as a society, can do better. And there are so many ways we can work together and start making a real difference, from better educating ourselves on racial issues and learning to look beyond our own experiences to signing petitions, making donations, contacting lawmakers, and supporting black-owned businesses.

We, as a society, can do better. At TRAFFIC, we are thinking more consciously about the diverse community we reside in and how we can proactively leverage our knowledge to uplift, empower, and amplify the minority-owned businesses in the Southeast Michigan area. When black and minority-owned businesses succeed, communities thrive. We want to do our part in the best way we can and continue the conversation to turn talk into action.
Taking a few steps today can go a long way in building a more inclusive future for everyone. But the important thing is that we all need to do something. Waiting for things to blow over is not going to change anything. It’s time for real change. We’re working on something we hope will positively impact minority-owned businesses. Stay tuned for more details.
